Move to another computer

Use this when you get a new computer, or want your saved comparison on a second one. Your saved data lives only on the computer where you ran the comparison, so you carry it across yourself.

Steps

1. On the old computer, open Review and open the Import data / compute diff / export & import store data bar.
2. Under 3. Move data to another machine, pick the store and click Export store data (.json).
3. Your browser saves a file. It holds that store's MPS and BCG data, your reports and your saved links.
4. Copy the file to the new computer. A USB drive is fine.
5. On the new computer, install CMRA Sync, then sign in and add the store.
6. Open Review, open the same bar, and under 3. Move data to another machine click Choose File. Pick the file.
7. Click Import store data.

The message under the button lists what came in.

What happens next

The new computer has the same data and reports. Nothing was sent online. The recheck list is not moved.

Keep the file safe

The file contains your customers' details. Delete it from the old computer, the new one and the USB drive when you are done.

If something looks wrong

• The import is refused. The store has to be on your licence and you have to be signed in. See Not licensed.
• It says a plain extract file is rejected. Use 1. Import extraction files for the mps-extract- and bcg-extract- files. Use Import store data only for the file you exported here.
