What CMRA Sync never sends
Where your customers' details go, and where they do not. Share this page with an owner or customer who asks.
Your mailbox holders' details never leave your computer. CMRA Sync is built so that we cannot see them.
Stays on your computer
All of this is kept inside the extension, on the computer you used, and nowhere else:
- Names, addresses, phone numbers and emails of mailbox holders and businesses.
- ID details on the 1583 forms.
- The contents of your 1583 forms and your MPS agreements.
- Your comparison reports and the links you made by hand.
Goes online: the licence check only
CMRA Sync checks that your organisation has a licence for the store. That is the only thing it does online. It talks to the FSC sign-in service, accounts.freddev.com, and sends:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| The sign-in. You type your password on the FSC sign-in page, not in CMRA Sync. | To show who you are. |
| A request for the sign-in service's public keys. | To check that the licence is genuine. |
That is all. It does not send your store numbers. FSC already knows which stores belong to your organisation. It does not send holder names, IDs, reports, or anything from MPS or BCG.
What comes back is a licence: a signed note listing your licensed stores, your name and your email. It is kept on your computer.
MPS and BCG
CMRA Sync reads MPS and BCG from your own signed-in browser. It makes the same requests you would make by clicking around, and they go only to MPS and BCG. It never types your password or two-step code.
Nothing else
CMRA Sync has no other online connections: no usage tracking and no copy of your data. Automated tests check this. One runs a full sign-in beside made-up customer data and fails if any of that data, or any store number, is in what was sent. Others fail if any part of CMRA Sync tries to reach the internet by another route.
The downloaded files
When a run finishes, your browser also downloads a file such as mps-extract- plus a date. Export store data makes another. These files hold customer details. CMRA Sync never uploads them. They sit in your Downloads folder, so:
- Delete them when you no longer need them. The same data is already saved in CMRA Sync.
- Do not email them or put them in a shared folder.
Removing your data
- Forget this licence on the setup page removes the licence. Your saved data stays.
- Remove next to a store takes it out of setup. Its saved data stays.
- Removing the extension from the browser deletes everything it saved on that computer.
If something looks wrong
